Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the farmers of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan will soon get the benefit of Yamuna water. In this regard, discussions with Haryana CM Naib Saini in the presence of Union Water Power Minister CR Patel have been completed on Tuesday. Sharma said that for the early implementation of this water agreement, a joint task force of officials of both the states will be formed which will work on the DPR.
The Chief Minister said that the Yamuna Water Agreement is a very good agreement for both the states. The Shekhawati region of Rajasthan has been waiting for Yamuna water for a long time. Now that wait is going to end and soon the joint task force of officials will start the work of DPR.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sharma expressed his gratitude to the Union Water Power Minister and said that the way the Union Ministry has done the work of connecting with rivers and Jal Jeevan Mission under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there will be no shortage of water in the entire country including Rajasthan.
Haryana Chief Minister Naib Saini told the media that the extra water in Haryana should be given to Rajasthan, this is a positive initiative.
