Fearing defeat, Congress conducted panchayat elections in pieces: Shekhawat

Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that the then Congress government conducted Panchayat elections in Rajasthan in parts due to fear of defeat, but even after this the people of the state completely rejected Congress.
The Union Minister said these things while talking to the media on the allegations of Congress on BJP government of deliberately not conducting Panchayat elections in the state. On Wednesday, in Sikar, the Union Minister said, development work is hindered due to the code of conduct imposed in view of elections being held at different times in the country. Therefore, BJP is moving forward with the resolution of conducting simultaneous elections in the country, because we have full faith in our leadership, workers and our working style. The Union Minister said, this is the first time in the 35-year democratic history of the state that despite being in power, the Congress could not even elect its presidents in many districts. A party which is opposing One State-One Election has no right to make such comments on the BJP government.
Rajasthan will become the growth engine of the country's development
The Union Minister said, the kind of budget presented under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will definitely work to become the growth engine of the country's development along with the development of the state. Shekhawat said, this budget reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India and it is a very important step towards making the state's economy Rs 30 lakh crore.
Water crisis will be resolved in Churu, Sikar and Jhunjhunu
The Union Minister said, during my tenure as Jal Shakti Minister, I did important work towards providing tap water to every household in the country through Jal Jeevan Mission, but due to the Congress government in Rajasthan at that time, this scheme could not gain momentum. He said, as soon as the BJP government was formed in the state, I got an agreement with Haryana regarding the pending issue of surplus water of Yamuna coming to Rajasthan for 20 years. After this agreement, there will be absolutely no water crisis in the coming days in the entire Rajasthan including Churu, Sikar and Jhunjhunu.
